Common issues
I cannot sign in
Make sure you are using the same sign-in method you set up with (Apple, Google, or email). If you signed up with email and have forgotten the password, tap "Forgot password" on the sign-in sheet to get a reset link. Still stuck? Email [email protected] with the email address you expected to use and we will dig in.
Subscription and billing
Plus is billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so we cannot see the card or the charge. To change your plan or cancel, open your device settings: on iOS, Settings > your name > Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play > Subscriptions. For refund requests, Apple and Google each have their own process. If something looks wrong on our end (missing entitlement, Plus features locked after purchase), email [email protected] with your account email and we will restore it.
A story has a factual error or something off
Tap the flag button in the player on the story in question. That sends us the story ID, the paragraph, and your note. We read every report. You can also email [email protected] with the story link and a description. If you want the story taken down rather than corrected, see the takedowns page.
Delete my account
Open the app, go to Settings > Account > Delete my account. It is a two-tap confirmation. Deletion cascades through our systems within a few minutes: RevenueCat, PostHog, Sentry, Firestore, and finally Firebase Auth. If you cannot get into the app to do this, email [email protected] from the address on the account and ask us to delete it for you.
Export my data
Settings > Account > Export my data. We email you a JSON bundle with your account info, library, and consent events within 24 hours. Same as delete, if you cannot reach the in-app button, email [email protected] from the account address.
