Delete my account
You can close your AudaStories account whenever you want. The data attached to it is deleted with it, no questions asked.
Fastest: do it in the app
Open AudaStories, then go to Settings > Account > Delete my account. It is a two-tap confirmation. Deletion runs immediately and you do not need to contact us.
If you cannot get into the app
Email [email protected] from the address on the account, with the subject line "Delete my account". We reply within one working day, confirm it is you, and delete the account. We will email you when it is done.
If you signed up with Apple or Google rather than email, tell us the name on the account and roughly when you joined so we can find it.
What gets deleted
Every record we hold that is tied to your account, across every system we use:
- Your profile, library, listening history, and saved stories (Firestore).
- Your subscription record and purchase history we hold (RevenueCat). Apple and Google still hold their own billing records, which we cannot delete on your behalf.
- Your product analytics events (PostHog).
- Your error and crash reports (Sentry).
- Your sign-in record (Firebase Auth). This is the last step, and once it runs you can sign up again with the same email if you want a fresh start.
How long it takes
In-app deletion is immediate from your side. Behind the scenes the cascade through the systems above usually finishes within a few minutes. Backups roll off within 30 days; after that, no copy of your data exists on our infrastructure.
What we keep, and why
Two narrow exceptions, both required by law or by our payment processors:
- Records we are legally required to keep for tax and accounting (typically 6 years in the UK). These are stripped of anything that identifies you where possible.
- The fact that an account was deleted, so we do not accidentally restore it from a backup.

Just want to cancel Plus, not delete the account?
Plus is billed by Apple or Google, so you cancel it where you bought it: on iOS, Settings > your name > Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play > Subscriptions. Your account stays put and you keep your library.
